Arthritis is an umbrella term for a range of inflammatory conditions that affect the bones, muscles and joints. It includes OA, juvenile arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and gout.
These conditions often result in pain, stiffness, swelling and redness in affected joints.
How can Enhance Motion help those with arthritis?
There is currently no known cure for arthritis, rather treatment involves management of symptoms and enhancing quality of life. This is done through diet and exercise, physiotherapy (manual therapy), education on living with arthritis and medication.
The allied health professionals at Enhance Motion work with you (alongside your other health professionals) to help educate you on living with arthritis. They offer exercise programs and plans to help keep you moving; manual therapy to help with pain management and inflammation and mobility exercises to keep your body moving as freely as possible.
Our physiotherapist is also a qualified GLA:D (good life osteoarthritis) therapist. The GLAD program is an education and exercise program developed by researchers in Denmark for people with hip or knee osteoarthritis symptoms.
We run group classes following the GLA:D protocol – call now or jump online to book a spot!
